Arno Bornkamp, born on June 1, 1959, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is an acclaimed Dutch saxophonist, teacher, and recording artist. Recognized for his virtuosity and extensive repertoire, Bornkamp has become a prominent figure in the world of classical saxophone, with a career spanning over three decades.
Bornkamp began playing the saxophone at the age of 10, and his talent for the instrument became apparent early on. He studied at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam under Ed Bogaard and later pursued further studies with renowned saxophonist Daniel Deffayet at the Conservatoire National SupĂ©rieur de Musique in Paris.
