Elan Trotman, acclaimed saxophonist, educator, and composer, has carved out a successful career in the contemporary jazz scene. Born and raised in Barbados, Trotman’s unique fusion of Caribbean rhythms and jazz harmonies has garnered him considerable recognition and respect within the music industry.

Trotman’s journey began at a young age, guided by the sounds of calypso, reggae, and other Caribbean musical styles that surrounded him in his native Barbados. His talent for music was evident early on, earning him a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.
