As a Professor of Saxophone at Northwestern University, Sullivan has made significant strides in nurturing the next generation of saxophonists. The quartet is a champion of new music, commissioning over 200 works from internationally celebrated composers, including Pulitzer Prize winners and MacArthur “Genius” Award recipients. Sullivan’s educational impact is further evidenced by his previous positions at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2005-2016) and Columbia University (2000-2005).
