The Muse: Asya Fateyeva

Today we welcome Asya Fateyeva to the World of Sax. The Ukrainian saxophonist has established herself over the last decade as a leading interpreter of classical saxophone, with numerous recordings and ongoing performances across Europe.

In May, Fateyeva released her latest recording, To The Muse, featuring works by Henri Tomasi, Claude Debussy and Paule Maurice. In addition to orchestral pieces recorded with conductor Sebastien Rouland and the Saarlandisches Staatsorchester, Fateyeva explores early troubadour music with Mattias Loibner on hurdy gurdy, Bo Wiget on cello and Emil Kuyumcuyan on vibraphone.

The recording is a must-listen, and following Asya as she expands the saxophone repertoire, is a great investment in your time.
